3.4.6.7 Fungus resistance. The unit shall meet requirements after being subjected to the
fungus test for 90 days as described in MIL-F-13927, class 2, method B (see 4.6.8.7).
3.4.6.8 Corrosion resistance. The unit shall meet requirements after exposure to the salt
test in accordance with MIL-STD-202, test condition A of method 101D (see 4.6.8.8).
3.4.6.9 Sand and dust. The unit shall meet requirements after exposure to the sand and
dust test in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 110A (see 4.6.8.9).

NOTES:
1. Tolerance during temperature change shall be not greater than 5°F (3°C).
2. Relative humidity shall be maintained at 94 +4% at all times, except that during
the descending temperature period, the relative humidity may be permitted to drop
as low as 85%.
3. Rate of temperature change between 86 and 149°F (30 and 65°C) shall be not
less than 14.4°F (8°C) per hour.
4. The temperature increase in this portion of the curve shall be not less than 18°F
(10°C).
5. Test measurements shall be taken only at the period specified in the applicable
equipment or system specification.
