corrosion resistant all metal parts shall be coated with an
enamel or a corrosion resistant finish such as chrome, nickel,

2.5 Workmanship. The tire pump shall be of good quality
construction and shall not become disassembled during normal use.
The pump and all components shall be smooth and shall have no
sharp edges or burrs. The packaging and packing shall not kink
the hose.
2 6 Measurement system. The values stated in inch-pound units
are to be regarded as the standard. The metric values stated in
parentheses are for information purposes only.
2.7 Metric products. Products manufactured to metric dimensions
will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured
using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerances
specified using conversion tables contained in the latest
revision of FED-STD-376, and all other requirements of this
document are met. If a product is manufactured to metric
dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified
in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the contract
officer to determine if the product is acceptable.
