PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
PUMPING ASSEMBLIES, WHEEL-MOUNTED, DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN,
BULK TRANSFER, FUEL AND POTABLE WATER PUMPING SERVICE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Abstract. This specification covers wheel-mounted, diesel-engine-driven, self-priming,
centrifugal, four-inch and six-inch pumping assemblies for fuel and potable water service.
1.2 Classification. The pumping assemblies will be of the following types, sizes and styles as
specified (see 6.2).
Type I - Pumping Assembly, Fuel
Size 1 - 350 gallons per minute (GPM) Capacity at 275 Feet Total Head
Style A -Without regulator
Style B - With speed/pressure regulator
Size 2 - 600 GPM Capacity at 350 Feet Total Head
(1250 GPM Capacity at 180 feet total head)
Type II - Pumping Assembly, Water
Size 1 - 350 GPM Capacity at 275 Feet Total Head
Size 2 - 600 GPM Capacity at 350 Feet Total Head
Style A -Without regulator
Style B -With speed/pressure regulator
